Gratefulness
The brakes on the goblin railship squeal. The crystal-powered engine rolls into Ka Radiff in the Borderland. I clomp down the stairs to the dusty platform, the first to disembark. It’s the end of the tour through the known world beneath the Veil.
I wait at the bottom of the steps, smiling, grateful, so amazed at your kindness and enthusiasm. From beginning to end, I had a wonderful time. Thank you to all those who traveled with me, hosted the parties along the way, and stopped by to cheer my book on. As you descend to the station, I smile and wish you amazing adventures ahead.
A Winner
As part of hosting my official tour, I offered to draw a name from a hat (plastic container). The winner would receive my very best effort at a book or blog trailer. My husband did the honors. These terrible blurry photos are:
Randy opening the crinkled paper
And the winner is:
I’m so excited to work with Miriam and create a trailer for her book Songs of Heartstrings: Poems of Gratitude and Beatitude. Yay! Congrats to Miriam.
An Autumn Reading Challenge
My kindle overfloweth. One of the surprising results of a book tour is how many books I purchased from hosts and visitors. OMG! A clear consequence of unquenchable book-enthusiasm. Lol. To whittle down my pile, I’m challenging myself to read 60 books this season. No writing, no silly games on my phone, no mindless TV. Just lots of reading on the treadmill while trying not to trip! Wish me luck!
Thanks again to all my tour hosts, to everyone who visited and commented and visited and commented and visited. Lol. I’m so grateful all the readers who picked up a book and to the generous souls who provide the world with reviews. Happy Reading!
[…] what? I was the winner. […]

Thanks for stopping by, Lenora. 🙂 I had a wonderful book tour, but phew, glad its over too. Yes, I read while exercising… I figured out how to make my phone read kindle (non-audible) books to me, so I’m really just listening. The monotone voice is awful, but I enjoy so many more books! And trust me, I need the exercise. Lol. Have a great weekend, my friend. ❤

I’m used to the voice now so I don’t notice it and can right into the book. I listen in my car, while gardening. It’s a great way to get through my kindle library. If you look for it, it’s most likely under something in Settings called Accessibility (or similar). It’s a feature designed for visually impaired phone users.

lol – High Five! I’m so glad we don’t have to wait a year or more. 🙂

I know. It’s a good idea to release all 3 of the series at the same period of time. 🙂

Totally agree. That’s one of the nicest things about being Indie – we can give readers what they want because we’re not tied to antiquated, corporate schedules.

Exactly, it takes a year to go through the commotion to get one book published.

I’ve never been traditionally published, but I follow Kristine Katherine Rusch and have learned something about traditional publishing through her. Apparently, Covid-19 has amplified the existing problems, such as long lead times. 😦

That’s interesting! I’ll tell ya, those traditional publishers make it hard to do business with them.

You were traditionally published too, weren’t you? Sorry to ask but I’ve only known your work as an Indie.

I was for my first 6 books. I cancelled all the contracts when they were up and republished as an indie. A decision I’ve never regretted. 😀

I’m so glad you went Indie. Must have been hard making that decision though. -hugs-

Not hard at all really. I was desperate to have some control – to improve covers, promote, fix typos – I couldn’t do any of that when a publisher controlled the strings.

Well, I’m glad you did. I need to be in control too, but I think the creative freedom is important too. I have a friend who’s traditionally published, and she once let slip the her publisher wouldn’t ‘let’ her do something. Can’t remember what it was, but it was part of the /storytelling/. She’s now gone hybrid. Anyway, must go to bed. I have a book waiting. 🙂

lol – I simply can’t decide who I like more – Naj or Tallin! And yes, I did sleep well, just not enough. Our clocks ticked over to daylight savings last night. I do not understand why we have to go through this yearly torture. 😦

Oh, I agree. The time change is so aggravating. I don’t know why we have to do it either. But I’m giggling that you stayed up late. 😀

Yes, you’re evil. :p I’d like to tell you what I’m up to but that probably counts as a spoiler so just…I feel really sorry for Naj. 😦
