Steeped in tea and reads
Hard soles unshod for lamb’s wool
Evening breathes a sigh
My tattered slippers shuffle
To the coziness of dreams

A tanka in response to Colleen’s Synonyms-only #Tanka Tuesday prompts “worn” and “comfort.”
Worn = Tattered
Comfort = Coziness
Makes me want to curl up with some tea and a good book. Well done, Diana!

I wake up in the middle of my sleep shouting (silently) to myself to STOP WRITING THE STORY in my dream head. But I end up staying awake juggling the characters and plot. Hmmm, perhaps we’re both extremely weird. 🙂
