Love, Gratitude, and Friendship

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I love that we don’t give presents, only our presence.

In lieu of my usual post, I invite you into my secret garden

100_1246

These are some fall photos of my yard, taken on my ancient camera.

The last brave roses are still in bloom

And the grape vines are really this ridiculous, glorious color!

Of course, this wonderfall color has submitted to the rain.

When the leaves fall, many of the trees are covered in silver moss that looks like snow

And my doorbell. Did I mention that dragons live here?
(Ignore the cobwebs.  Clearly, spiders live here too).

May your day, wherever you are in the world, grow a peaceful garden of love, gratitude, and friendship.

Happy Thanksgiving

I’m traveling for a few days. See you soon.

  8. That is a heavenly little spot you have there, Diana — certainly the kind of place I myself aspire to live.

And I agree: Thanksgiving is the best — no pressure other than to eat, drink, and be merry! Hope yours was a happy one!

    • Thanks for taking a peek, Tosha. There are lots of dragons around here, some hanging in those trees. Now the forest is wet and gray and waiting for snow. Have a magical day 🙂

Wow! These photos are just glorious, the colours are magnificent. Lucky you, to live in such a wonderful place. And while I’m not a huge fan of spiders, I do really like dragons. Hope you had a lovely thanksgiving x

  13. Wow. The autumn trees are stunning but the grape vines… Nice shot! Everything there is magical and beautiful. Most beautiful of all, as you said, is that this holiday isn’t a time for gifts but for being with each other and expressing our gratitude. (Something we should all do a bit more often.) ❤

    • Ha. I live in a music box, Sacha. (With our share of spiders, owls, dragons, and other critters.) We had great color this year. Now hunkering down for 6 months of rain. 🙂 Have a great week.
