I accidentally hit the publish button on my Happiness Tag post last Tuesday. It was supposed to be today’s post. Oops. So I’m filling the slot with a little unabashed book promotion for the long weekend. The timing of the promotion and the accidental need for a Friday postΒ is entirely coincidental, I swear.

The Bone Wall is a grim and gritty post-apocalyptic fantasy.
So tender readers beware.

The Blurb:

Blue light ripples and crackles as the shield walls fracture. The remnants of a doomed civilization stand vigil outside, intent on plunder and slaves, desirous of untainted blood to strengthen their broken lives. With the poisons, came deformities and powers, enhanced senses and the ability to manipulate waves of energyβ€”lightbenders and fire-wielders.

For those who thrived for generations within the walls, the broken world looms, strange and deadly, slowly dying. While the righteous pray for salvation, Rimma prepares for battle, fueled by rage and blinded by vengeance. Her twin, Angel, bound to her by unbreakable magic, seeks light in the darkness, hope in the future, and love in a broken world.

A wonderful review by Christoph Fischer:star3

“The Bone Wall” by D. Wallace Peach is a beautiful if somewhat grim piece of fantasy that makes no secret of its metaphoric and symbolic character. Heaven and Hell, good and evil are the forces in an apocalyptic world. The novel presents us with twin girls, Rimma and Angel who are quite different in character from each other. The book is refreshing in its stylistic approach, clear in its message and touching in its characterisation. There is swearing and darkness, there is goodness and hope, a fast pace and a literary quality in the writing.Β Impressive.
Thank you, Christoph!

Happy Reading!

To all my US friends – Have a wonderful 4th of July

  1. When the local music is horrible at a local restaurant, and you are sitting outside trying to enjoy the labor day weekend start, the only reasonable thing to do is read the Bone Wall.

You know I love your writing, Diana and I’m slowing making my way through your books. This one has been in my queue for a while.

Oddly, you’d think that with this broken collarbone, I’d be doing more reading that usual … but in fact the opposite is true.
My normal reading time is in bed at night before I go to sleep and unfortunately there is no position even remotely comfortable enough for me to do that right now. I’m a bit at loose ends.
Hoping I find a new alternative reading solution soon that feels ‘natural’.

Happy long weekend and hope you enjoy your 4th of July celebrations πŸ™‚

    • Thanks, Joanne. I read at night too, but I’m so tired I don’t get very far. It takes me a long time to get through a book. :-D. I’m so sorry about your collarbone – it makes sense that it would be uncomfortable since they can’t really secure it. Ouch. Have a wonderful weekend as well and let everyone dote on you πŸ˜€

  31. Thanks, Diana! Got my copy (not that I’m against paying for a copy, but this nips my procrastination). Now, all I have to do is read the books earlier in the queue… Can’t wait!

    • Thanks so much, Julie πŸ˜€ I used to only buy the books as I was ready to read them, but that went by the wayside pretty quickly. My kindle now has a teetering virtual book stack. A good problem to have πŸ˜€
